The Ohio State Women’s Water Polo team is currently looking for a knowledgeable and passionate head coach to lead us during this 2018-2019 season. Coming fresh off a Big Ten victory, and a fourth-place finish in the nation, we are eager to continue our growth and learn even more. Since we have all levels of experience on our team, we are hoping to find someone that can combine easy-to-learn drills with a competitive atmosphere. It would be ideal to be certified through USA Water Polo. You must also be CPR certified and be prepared to get a background check.
Attending four practices a week, hosted at our campus competition pool, from 6:30-8:15 M-Th (fall practices will likely be less than this, but that is TBD).
Create an agenda for each practices that is beneficial to all skill levels.
In the fall, you would be required to attend 1-2 tournaments that last a majority of the weekend.
In the spring, you would be required to attend 4-6 tournaments. (this is including our three conference CWPA tournaments)
The President will be your main contact for the team and will take care of all administrative and tournament planning duties related to the team. All that we ask from you is that you take care of everything in the water, and we will take care of everything outside of it. Additionally, we ask you to remain aware that this is a club sport, and while we do have significant goals for the team, all girls are attending on their own volition, so we wish to keep the environment fun for the team members.
You will likely have one, to multiple assistant coaches to help you out, so you will not be alone in the process. Overall, we are a fun and driven group of women who are looking to grow and have fun while playing the sport of water polo. If you are at all interested in the position, please reach out to our President, Megan Wolf, at firstname.lastname@example.org or her cell phone: 513-571-7343. We look forward to hearing from you!
