Katie Johanni Memorial Tournament November 4-5, 2017

We were honored to host the third annual Katie Johanni Memorial Tournament this fall. Katie was our teammate, our friend, and the constant ray of sunshine in our lives. Tragically, Katie had a seizure and passed away in her sleep November 24, 2015. This year, ten teams from throughout the country joined us to play in her memory. We raised $4,686 to donate to the Epilepsy Foundation, bringing the total amount we have donated to just under $25,000. Thank you to everyone who participated, supported and donated to this cause.

We began the following day by playing University of Washington, it was a close game and we won by one point at 6-5. That evening, we competed against University of California- Davis. It was another tight game, and we lost by one point at 7-8. University of California- Davis continued on to win the tournament. On Sunday, we matched against San Diego University and lost third place by two points, 5-7.

This was our first (but, not last) time to attend Nationals! We were honored to be there and beyond ecstatic to place 4th in the nation!
